Corinna Duron is project manager and test developer at Second Language Testing, Inc. Since joining the SLTI team in August 2007, Ms. Duron has worked as a rater supervisor, item writer, and item reviewer for a high-stakes English language test developed by Pearson Language Assessments and has also developed items and reading passages for a National Geographic/Hampton Brown placement test for ELLs and struggling readers. Ms. Duron contributes as a writer and reviewer for SLTI final reports and manages various test translation projects for state departments of education. Prior to her work at SLTI, Ms. Duron worked as a Public Affairs Specialist for the Department of Defense and spent three years abroad teaching English and providing translating services in Mexico and Spain. Ms. Duron has also worked as an ESL instructor at the University of California, San Diego English Language Institute. She earned her TEFL certificate and BA degree in Communication from San Diego State University, as well as her MA degree in Education (TESOL) from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. Corinna is a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish. |
