Guillermo Laya

Guillermo Laya is a test developer and test translation manager at SLTI.  He is currently working on the LAS-Links Español and on the DLPT Spanish.

Mr. Laya has an M.A. in TESL, and has worked full time in the field of English as a Second Language (ESL) for 7 years. He has also worked as a teacher and an administrator with high school teenagers and adult ESL students at the Next Step Public Charter School, in Washington DC, and at the Adult ESL & GED Literacy Program at Montgomery College, Maryland.

Before joining SLTI, Mr. Laya worked on language assessment tools in the Adult Education area, such as CASAS, TABE English, TABE Español, TABE CLAS-E, and BEST Plus.
