Rachel Kim
Rachel Kim is a Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing specialist and Asian Language Project Coordinator at SLTI. Ms. Kim has a great deal of experience in the field of Graphic and Digital Imaging Design. Some of her experience prior to coming to SLTI includes freelance work with diverse companies such as Weather Bug, PICTO Lab, Future Media Concepts, and IPAS Tech & Design Inc. It was with these companies that Rachel gained five years of digital art designer experience in the advertising field, including the assessment of client needs, knowledge of good page layout and design composition, print production, and Web development. Her software proficiencies include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Premiere, and various other design applications.

Since arriving at SLTI, Ms. Kim has played a major role in the translation and layout of several high-stakes state assessments and the parent information letters associated with these exams. Furthermore, she continues to play an increasingly important role in the test translation component of SLTI’s business.

In addition to her extensive knowledge of graphic and digital imaging design, Ms. Kim is fluent in both English and Korean. She has worked at The Korean American Christian Heritage Institute and currently teaches Korean at Howard County Community College.

Rachel Kim received her certificate at Choong-Ahang Art Institution in Seoul, Korea, and then a Bachelor’s Degree in Imaging Digital Art from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
