Translatability Reviews

A translatability review involves an analysis of a test to determine which items can be straightforwardly translated, and which items would need to be adapted during the translation process. Characteristics that cause an item to be non-translatable and require adaptation include specific words or phrases that have no equivalent in the target language, and scenarios that are unfamiliar to the test population. Translatability reviews are often conducted as an initial step in test-translation projects, but we will also conduct translatability reviews independently for a client, upon request.
